In most cases, Excelsior's field professionals collect tree location data using GNSS equipment capable of achieving sub-foot positional accuracy with RTK corrections, and that data can drop into existing workflows without reformatting or reconciliation.

Most Florida municipalities and counties require a tree survey or arbor permit prior to development activity. Requirements vary significantly by jurisdiction: tree inventory lists, condition assessment formulas, protected species lists, mitigation ratios, replacement criteria, and preservation easement thresholds differ from county to county and city to city.
